Updating the Month-over-Month Metrics Dashboard in Propel Your Business #

The Month-over-Month Metrics Dashboard appears in a few places within Propel Your Business. It helps you track company goals and make quick updates to performance data.

Where You’ll See the Dashboard #

  • Company Admins / Goal Access
When you log in, you’ll see the Company Goals dashboard right away.
  • Meetings
If you have access to Company Goals, you can also find the dashboard during meetings:
    • Open the Agenda Bar
    • Click Goals at the top
  • Macro Plan Section
If you do not have access to Company Goals, the same type of month-over-month metric dashboard appears when you click Goals from the Agenda Bar.

How to Update the Dashboard #

There are two ways to update metrics:

  1. Cell by Cell
    • Update values directly in the dashboard.
  2. Quick Update Method
    • Use the three dots menu on the right-hand side.
    • Choose Export to Excel, make edits, then Import back.
    • Or choose Copy to Clipboard, paste into Excel or Google Sheets, make edits, and then paste the full table back in.

Important Notes When Editing #

  • When copying to Excel/Google Sheets, formatting (like $, commas, or %) is stripped out. Only raw numbers remain.
  • Do not re-add formatting symbols (dollar signs, commas, percentages).
    • If you reinsert them, your update may:
      • Fail to upload
      • Or cut off numbers incorrectly (e.g., “1,250” might import as “1”).
  • Always copy the entire dashboard table (row names + headers).
  • Even if you don’t update all rows, they still need to be included before pasting back in.

Workflow Example #

  1. Copy the dashboard to Excel.
  2. Make raw number adjustments (leave out symbols).
  3. Select the entire table including headers and row names.
  4. Return to Company Goals → Three Dots → Paste from Clipboard.
  5. Apply changes.
  6. Your updates will immediately appear in the dashboard.
