The Three Types of Goals in Propel Your Business #

In Propel Your Business, there are three types of goals:

1. Company Goals #

  • Who sees them: Company Admins and any users granted access.
  • Purpose: Track month-over-month performance of key business metrics.
  • Focus: These are the levers that drive the company toward its annual targets.
  • Where to view: Found under Company Goals in the left-hand navigation bar.
  • In meetings: Typically discussed in leadership team meetings, where attendees can also view Health Scores and Enterprise Value.

2. Macro Plan #

  • Who sees them: Teams or groups that may not have access to full company goals.
  • Purpose: Track monthly performance metrics tied to that team’s specific outcomes.
  • Example: A sales huddle might track “Clients Generated” month by month as their macro goal.

3. Micro Goals #

  • Purpose: Short-term or smaller timeframe goals.
  • Link to Macro Plan: Often tied directly to the larger macro goal.
  • Example: An individual’s “Clients Generated” goal may connect to the sales team’s macro-level “Clients Generated” target.

Recap #

Propel Your Business structures goals at three levels:

  1. Company Goals – the big picture for the whole organization.
  2. Macro Plan – team-level performance measures.
  3. Micro Goals – short-term, individual or tactical objectives.

This layered system ensures alignment between individual work, team objectives, and the company’s overall targets.
