What are the two different places in software to access Initiatives and when do I use each?

Where Initiatives Appear in Propel Your Business #

Initiatives show up in two main places within the software:


1. The Initiative Dashboard (Planning View) #

  • Located on the left-hand navigation bar under Initiatives.
  • This is where you plan initiatives—often after reviewing the Health & Value Assessment or during a strategic review with your client.
  • From here, you can:
    • Add new initiatives.
    • Build roadmap items (the detailed steps within each initiative).
    • Organize and plan upcoming client work.
  • Think of this area as the planning hub for future work.

2. Initiatives in Meetings (Execution View) #

  • Within a meeting, the Agenda bar lists Initiatives as the third tab.
  • This view is about tracking and execution, not planning.
  • Here you can:
    • See roadmap items tied to initiatives.
    • View initiatives sorted by target due date (most recent first).
    • Monitor status updates to track progress, identify delays, and confirm completions.
  • This ensures teams are aligned on what’s been completed and what’s still moving forward.
