We’ve come to the stage in our annual planning process where it’s time to start inputting our company, department, team, or individual initiatives into Propel Your Business.
Anyone in the organization can do this.
We’ll click on Initiatives on the left-hand side to open the Initiative Dashboard.
In the top right-hand corner, click Add Initiative and then enter the information.
I’ve added a short description of the outcome I’m trying to achieve, and then I’ll decide who to share it with. In this example, I’m working on a sales process revamp, so I might share it with my sales team so it can be part of our sales huddle.
I’ll select the members of my sales team, then pin the initiative to the sales huddle meeting series, which includes all of those people.
Next, I’ll choose a target due date—it doesn’t have to be exact right now—and then hit Confirm.
I’ll repeat this process as I input each initiative I’ve planned in my playbook into the software.
I don’t necessarily need to add all the details now; the priority is getting the initiatives into the software so I can move on to the next step of the planning process.
Some people choose to slow down here and add detail immediately, and that’s fine. My pro tip: add them all in first, get everything organized—who should be shared on them, who’s responsible for them—and then move forward.
