Marketplace #
The Marketplace is a fully customizable module that allows firms to showcase approved vendors, strategic partners, preferred service providers, and exclusive offers directly within the Propel platform.
The Marketplace can be used as a resource center for clients, a referral network, or a revenue-generating channel for your firm.
Only Firm Admins can configure and manage the Marketplace.
Accessing Marketplace Settings #
Navigate to:
Settings → Marketplace
The Marketplace appears within both the Firm and Company navigation menus when enabled.
By default, the Marketplace appears near the bottom of the navigation menu, above Custom Links.
Enabling or Disabling the Marketplace #
Firm Admins can control whether the Marketplace is visible across the platform.
To disable the Marketplace:
- Navigate to Settings → Marketplace
- Toggle the Marketplace setting to Inactive
Disabling the Marketplace removes it from both firm and company navigation menus.
The Marketplace can be re-enabled at any time without losing existing vendor information.
Marketplace Dashboard #
The Marketplace dashboard contains three primary sections:
- Your Marketplace
- Propel Vendors
- Vendor Categories
Each section serves a different purpose in building and managing your Marketplace.
Your Marketplace #
The Your Marketplace tab contains all vendors that have been approved and published to your firm’s Marketplace.
These vendors are visible to users based on your Marketplace configuration.
For each vendor, you can view and manage:
- Vendor information
- Vendor category
- Featured offers
- Contact information
- Marketplace visibility
- Sponsored status
Propel Vendors #
The Propel Vendors tab contains vendors that have been reviewed and approved by Propel.
These vendors can be added directly to your Marketplace.
This allows firms to quickly populate their Marketplace with vetted service providers without having to manually create vendor records.
To add a Propel Vendor:
- Navigate to Marketplace → Propel Vendors
- Select the vendor you wish to include
- Add the vendor to your Marketplace
Once added, the vendor becomes part of your Marketplace and can be managed like any other vendor.
Vendor Categories #
Vendor Categories help organize vendors into logical groupings.
Examples include:
- Marketing
- Accounting
- Legal
- Technology
- Human Resources
- Banking
- Insurance
- Payroll
- Operations
- Business Coaching

Vendor information may include:

Sponsored Vendors #
The Marketplace allows vendors to be designated as Sponsored Vendors.
Sponsored Vendors receive additional visibility within the Marketplace and appear prominently to users.
To create a sponsored listing:
- Edit or create a vendor
- Enable Sponsored Vendor
- Save
The vendor will be identified with a Sponsored label within the Marketplace.
Featured Offers #
Each vendor can include a custom offer or promotional message.
Examples include:
- Free consultation
- Complimentary assessment
- Discounted services
- Exclusive client pricing
- Promotional packages
When users view vendor details, these offers can be displayed to encourage engagement.
Vendor Lead Notifications #
When a user selects Learn More on a vendor profile, Propel automatically generates a lead notification.
The notification is sent to the vendor email address configured in the vendor profile.
Important notes:
- Notifications are sent directly from Propel
- Notifications are not sent from the firm
- Vendors should be informed to monitor the email address provided
- Ensure vendor contact information remains current
This process allows vendors to receive inquiries automatically without requiring manual follow-up from the firm.
Visiting Vendor Websites #
Users can also select Visit Website to navigate directly to a vendor’s website.
This provides immediate access to additional information, services, and contact options.
Using the Marketplace as a Client Resource Center #
Many firms use the Marketplace as a curated directory of trusted providers.
Benefits include:
- Simplified vendor recommendations
- Consistent client experience
- Centralized resource access
- Stronger strategic partnerships
- Reduced research time for clients
The Marketplace becomes a single destination for approved vendors and recommended services.
Using the Marketplace as a Revenue Center #
The Marketplace can also support revenue-generating partnerships.
