Archiving vs. Deleting a Meeting Series #
Before deleting a meeting series, it’s important to understand the consequences.
A meeting series contains all the historical information tied to that group: initiatives, roadmap items, resources, tasks, meeting notes, and goals. If you delete the series, all of that context is permanently lost, and you will not be able to reference it in the future.
Instead, use archiving. Archiving a meeting series removes it from your active list while keeping everything intact for reference. You can always retrieve an archived series later by using the filter for archived meetings.
⚠️ A few things to keep in mind:
- Archiving should be intentional—especially if you plan to start a new series.
- You cannot copy and paste information from an archived series into a new one.
- In most cases, it’s better to continue using the existing series and simply adjust cadences, attendees, or pinned initiatives as needed.
Archiving preserves your work, while deletion permanently erases it. Always choose archive unless you are absolutely certain the information is no longer needed.
