Archiving and Restoring a Meeting Series #
If you no longer need a meeting series or accidentally created one, you can remove it from your active meetings by archiving it.
Propel does not permanently delete meeting series. Instead, meeting series are archived so that important historical information remains available if needed in the future.
Why Meeting Series Are Archived Instead of Deleted #
A meeting series contains valuable historical information, including:
- Meeting history
- Discussion topics
- Tasks
- Initiatives
- Roadmap Items
- Communication and activity logs
- Meeting attendees and records
Because this information may be needed later, Propel uses an archive system rather than permanent deletion.
Archiving removes the meeting series from your active view while preserving all associated data.
Archiving a Meeting Series #
To archive a meeting series:
- Navigate to the Meetings module.
- Locate the meeting series you want to remove.
- Click the three dots on the right side of the meeting series.
- Select Archive Meeting Series.
The meeting series will be removed from your active Meetings dashboard.
Viewing Archived Meeting Series #
To view previously archived meeting series:
- Navigate to the Meetings module.
- Open the meeting filters.
- Change the status filter to Archived.
All archived meeting series will be displayed.
Restoring a Meeting Series #
If you need to reactivate an archived meeting series:
- Locate the meeting series in the Archived view.
- Click the three dots beside the meeting series.
- Select Restore Meeting Series.
The meeting series will immediately return to your active meetings list with all of its historical information intact.
Best Practice #
Archive meeting series when:
- A team no longer meets regularly.
- A project has been completed.
- A meeting series was created in error.
- The meeting is no longer active but historical records should be retained.
Archiving keeps your Meetings dashboard clean while ensuring valuable meeting history, decisions, tasks, and project information remain available for future reference.
