Managing Teams, Departments, and Users as a Company Admin #
Team Organization #
- As a Company Admin, you’ll see Team in the left-hand navigation bar.
- This area allows you to organize team members and assign them to departments.
- ⚠️ Note: Adding a team member here does not invite them to the software—it’s purely for organization and visibility.
Adding a Team Member #
- Click Add Team Member in the upper right corner.
- Enter details: name, email, phone (optional), job title, start date.
- Assign to a department (create one if it doesn’t exist).
- Optionally upload a photo—team members can update this later.
- If they report to a manager, select that leader here.
- Save to add, or save and add another.
Using Departments #
- You can create or edit departments in this section.
- Assign a manager to each department. That manager can then add and manage members in their own department.
- Only the department manager or a Company Admin can add/remove members.
- Departments streamline:
- Meeting organization
- Resource sharing
- Initiatives and projects
- Communication with an entire department
Vendors #
- Use the Vendors section to track external partners who join meetings.
- Add them the same way as team members.
- Assign: department, primary relationship, and reporting contact.
- Vendors remain isolated from core company members but visible where needed.
User Activation & Roles #
- Important: Adding a team member does not make them an active user.
- To activate a user, go to Company Settings → Users.
- Here you can:
- See all individuals in the system.
- View their roles (Admin, User, etc.).
- Manage access to Company Goals, Health & Value dashboards, or internal meetings.
Activating a User #
- Find the person, click the three dots → Edit.
- Toggle Active → this sends an email invitation (valid for 1 hour).
- The user must set up their password to complete activation.
Permissions #
- By default, advanced access is toggled off.
- Company Admins must decide whether to grant access to company-wide data.
- Toggling access on gives them visibility into the same dashboards as the business owner.
