Adding a Firm Admin or Firm User #

Only Firm Admins have the ability to add new firm users or admins to Propel Your Business. If you do not see the Navy navigation bar on the left-hand side of your screen, you do not have the necessary permissions to complete this function.


Step 1: Access Firm Settings #

  1. From the Navy navigation bar, click Settings.
  2. Select Team.

This page displays:

  • The total number of active firm users
  • Each user’s status (active or inactive)
  • Their assigned companies
  • Their role (Firm Admin, Advisor, Portfolio Manager)

Step 2: Understand Firm User Permissions #

All Firm Users—regardless of whether they are an Admin or Advisor—have access to:

  • The Health & Value Assessment dashboard
  • The Firm Learning Center
  • Live firm trainings

Step 3: Add a Firm User or Admin #

  1. In the upper right-hand corner of the Team page, select Add Advisor.
  2. A pop-up will display your current seat usage.

If your firm still has available advisor seats:

  • Enter the individual’s name and email address.
  • The system will send an email to the new user inviting them to set up their password.

If your firm has reached the maximum number of seats, you will see a message similar to:
“Adding an additional advisory seat will increase your cost by $250 per month. This will begin billing on the next month.”

You may then decide to proceed or cancel before adding the new user.


Step 4: Confirm Roles and Access #

Once added:

  • Users are assigned advisor-level permissions by default.
  • Only Firm Admins can adjust user roles or add other Firm Admins.

If you are not a Firm Admin, you cannot add or modify firm users.
