Accessing the Learning Center #

The Learning Center provides on-demand courses, toolkits, and resources for both firms and company users within Propel Your Business (PYB). The access path and available content vary depending on your user type and firm affiliation.


Step 1: Identify Your User Type #

When you log in to Propel Your Business, check the color of your navigation bar:

  • Navy Navigation Bar → You are a Firm User
  • Sage Navigation Bar → You are a Company User

Both user types will see the Learning Center icon in the left-hand navigation bar. Click this icon to enter the Learning Center.


Step 2: Understand the Learning Center Portal #

The Learning Center is an external learning portal that opens in a new browser window.

  • The default Learning Center URL begins with pyb.myperformanceapp.com.
  • If you see a Propel Your Business logo, you’re in the main PYB Learning Center.
  • If you see a firm-branded logo (e.g., Cultivate Advisors), you are on a firm-specific Learning Center — each firm may have its own portal and branding.

Step 3: Setting Up Your Account #

On your first visit, a popup window will appear prompting you to create your account.

  • Enter your name, email, and create a password.
  • After setup, your browser will remember your login (unless you clear your cookies).
  • If you cannot access the Learning Center, the first troubleshooting step is to create your account or reset your password.

Step 4: Special Instructions for Cultivate Advisors Users #

If your firm is Cultivate Advisors, your Learning Center is managed through Cultivate directly:

  1. The primary contact — the person who signed the original Cultivate contract — must be the first to create the Learning Center account using the same email used on the contract.
  2. Once their account is created, they can invite additional team members.
  3. Even if your business has multiple owners, only the contract originator can activate the first account.

Step 5: What You’ll See #

Depending on your user type and firm:

  • Firm Users may have access to:
    • Firm-branded toolkits
    • Internal training programs (e.g., Catapult, CEO Webinars)
    • Additional course libraries
  • Company Users will typically see:
    • The core Propel Your Business curriculum
    • Nine foundational courses
    • Learning modules and checklists related to company growth and advisor collaboration

Step 6: Using the Learning Center #

Once logged in, you can:

  • View assigned courses
  • Track your course completion percentage
  • Share courses with your team or clients (if applicable)

When clients log in to Propel Your Business as active users, they can also access the Learning Center directly through their navigation bar, giving them visibility into training and tools tied to their growth plan.
