Creating and Managing Demo Templates #

The Demo feature allows firms to design demo companies that closely reflect how they work with their clients. These demo companies can then be used to clearly demonstrate workflows, structure, and outcomes to prospects or existing clients when introducing them to Propel Your Business.

Purpose of Demo Templates #

Demo templates allow firms to:

  • Match demos to the type of work they do with clients
  • Show realistic meetings, teams, and workflows
  • Give prospects or clients a clear picture of how the software could function inside their organization

Each demo company is launched from a template that your firm controls.

Access Requirements #

To create or manage demo templates, you must:

  • Be a Firm Admin or Firm User
  • See the navy navigation bar on the left-hand side

If you do not see the navy navigation bar:

  • You are not a firm user or firm admin
  • Contact the person who introduced you to Propel Your Business or log a support ticket

Navigating to Demo Templates #

  1. From the navy navigation bar, click Settings
  2. Select Companies
  3. Click Templates

This page displays all demo templates created by your firm.

Ways to Create a Demo Template #

You have three options when creating demo templates:

Option 1: Create a New Template Using a Framework #

  1. Click Add Template
  2. Enter a template name
  3. Select a framework

Frameworks are pre-built examples designed to mirror common firm types and workflows. They include:

  • Pre-built teams
  • Meetings
  • Structure and setup

This is the fastest way to get started. You can edit and customize the framework after creation.

Option 2: Create a Template from Scratch #

  1. Click Add Template
  2. Enter a template name
  3. Choose a time zone
  4. Add a short description
  5. Click Add Template

This option allows you to design the entire demo company manually.

Option 3: Duplicate an Existing Template #

  1. Locate an existing template
  2. Click Duplicate

Duplicating a template allows you to:

  • Create variations of an existing demo
  • Make edits without affecting the original template
  • Quickly support different use cases or audiences

Editing an Existing Demo Template #

To edit a template:

  1. Click directly on the template
  2. Make the desired changes

While editing, a message at the top of the screen will indicate that you are currently editing the template.

To save:

  • Simply click out of the template

All changes are saved automatically to the template.

Using Templates in Demos #

Once created, demo templates are available to be used during demonstrations with:

  • Prospects
  • Existing clients
  • Onboarding sessions
  • Training walkthroughs

Templates remain saved in your firm and can be reused at any time to launch demo companies.

Key Notes #

  • Templates are controlled entirely by the firm
  • Frameworks can be edited and customized
  • Duplicating templates is recommended for variations
  • Template edits are permanent and affect future demos
