Filtering Roadmap Items

Filtering & Organizing Roadmap Items #

Roadmap items are automatically organized by their target due date, making it easy to focus on the work that requires attention next.

Within an initiative, roadmap items can be sorted, filtered, and searched to help teams manage priorities and execution more effectively.

Default Sorting #

By default, roadmap items are displayed in order of the nearest upcoming due date.

This ensures that:

  • The most urgent work appears first
  • Teams can focus on upcoming deadlines
  • Priorities remain visible during meetings and reviews

Reordering by Due Date #

The roadmap item list can be sorted by clicking the arrow in the End Date column.

This allows you to:

  • View items due soonest first
  • View items due furthest in the future first
  • Quickly organize roadmap items based on timing

Changing a roadmap item’s due date will automatically change where it appears in the list.

Filtering Roadmap Items #

The filter bar provides several ways to narrow your view and focus on specific work.

You can filter by:

  • Roadmap Item Name
  • Assigned User
  • Status
  • Active or Archived Items
  • Due Date Range

These filters make it easy to locate specific roadmap items, review workload by team member, or focus on a particular time period.

Date Range Filters #

One of the most commonly used filters is the Date Range filter.

This allows you to quickly view roadmap items due within:

  • This Week
  • This Month
  • This Quarter
  • Custom Date Ranges
  • All Time

For example, selecting This Quarter will display only roadmap items scheduled to be completed during the current quarter.

This is especially helpful during quarterly planning sessions and progress reviews.

Status Filters #

Roadmap items can also be filtered by status, including:

  • Not Started
  • In Progress
  • Blocked
  • Complete

Filtering by status helps teams quickly identify:

  • Work that has not yet begun
  • Items that need attention
  • Blocked priorities requiring support
  • Completed work

Search Function #

Use the search bar to quickly locate a specific roadmap item.

Search can be helpful when:

  • Working within large initiatives
  • Managing complex projects
  • Looking for a specific deliverable or action item
