Editing the Value Page in Propel #

In Propel, there are several different ways to edit and refine your long-term value plan.

To begin:

  1. Navigate to the Value tab
  2. Open the Value page
  3. Use the available fields and controls to adjust your projections, assumptions, and goals

Editing Your Original Health & Value Inputs #

From the Value page, click the:

  • three dots in the upper right-hand corner

This allows you to edit the original information entered during the Health & Value Assessment, including:

  • desired enterprise value
  • target year
  • previous year revenue
  • previous year profit
  • year-to-date financial information

This is useful when:

  • financials change
  • goals evolve
  • or your long-term planning shifts.

Adjusting Revenue Growth Assumptions #

The Value page allows you to make:

  • large strategic changes
  • or small “micro adjustments”

You can update:

  • revenue growth percentage
  • total projected revenue dollars

These fields dynamically update each other.

For example:

  • changing projected revenue dollars updates the implied growth rate
  • changing the growth rate updates projected revenue totals

This allows business owners to model:

  • different growth scenarios
  • aggressive vs. conservative plans
  • and long-term value strategies.

Editing Profit Targets #

The same flexibility exists for profit planning.

Users can adjust:

  • net profit margin goals
  • or total net profit dollars

These values influence:

  • enterprise value projections
  • and the future estimated value of the business.

Editing Health Score Targets #

The Value page also allows users to:

  • adjust current health scores
  • set future desired health scores
  • and model improvements over time

Health scores improve as operational maturity improves.

Examples include:

  • better systems
  • stronger leadership
  • improved recurring revenue
  • operational efficiencies
  • better customer diversification
  • process documentation
  • and organizational alignment

The platform notes that:

improving health takes time.

A realistic expectation is often:

  • approximately 5 health score points per year.

Updating Desired Health Scores #

Users can also revise:

  • their desired future health score

This is important because:

  • reaching 100% health may not always be realistic or necessary.

For example:

  • a user may decide that a 96% target better reflects their actual long-term goals.

When the desired health score changes:

  • The projected value calculations update automatically.

Long-Term Planning & Annual Review #

The Value page is intended to be:

  • a living strategic planning tool

Most business owners revisit:

  • revenue assumptions
  • profit goals
  • enterprise value targets
  • and health scores

…during annual planning cycles.

The platform encourages ongoing refinement as:

  • the business grows
  • priorities shift
  • and operational maturity improves.
