How Can I View All the Tasks?

2 min read

Viewing and Managing Your Tasks #

All users have access to the Tasks module, which provides a centralized view of their assigned work across Propel.

The Task dashboard serves as a roll-up of tasks from meetings, initiatives, roadmap items, and individually assigned tasks, making it easy to manage responsibilities from a single location.

Accessing the Task Module #

Select Tasks from the left-hand navigation menu.

The dashboard displays:

  • Tasks assigned to you.
  • Tasks created by you.
  • Additional tasks you have permission to view.

Depending on your user permissions, you may also have visibility into tasks assigned to other individuals within the organization.

Understanding the Task Dashboard #

The Task dashboard consolidates tasks from across the platform, including:

  • Meeting series
  • Initiatives
  • Roadmap items
  • Standalone tasks

This provides a single place to monitor progress and manage responsibilities without having to navigate between multiple modules.

Using Filters #

The filter bar allows you to quickly narrow your task list and locate specific tasks.

Common filtering options may include:

  • Assigned user
  • Task creator
  • Status
  • Due date range
  • Meeting series
  • Roadmap item

Using filters is especially helpful for managers and administrators who need visibility across multiple users and projects.

Tasks Outside of Meetings #

Not every task needs to be connected to a meeting, initiative, or roadmap item.

You can create and assign tasks independently for personal reminders, operational work, or one-time action items.

These tasks will still appear in your Task dashboard and can be tracked alongside all other work in the platform.

Task Visibility #

By default, users see:

  • Tasks assigned to them.
  • Tasks they created.

Users with elevated permissions, such as Company Admins, may have visibility into tasks assigned to other users throughout the organization.

Best Practices #

To get the most value from the Task dashboard:

  • Review your task list regularly.
  • Use filters to focus on current priorities.
  • Keep task statuses updated.
  • Complete tasks when finished rather than leaving them open.
  • Assign clear ownership for every task.
  • Use linked tasks when supporting roadmap items or initiatives.

The Task dashboard is designed to provide a complete picture of your responsibilities across Propel, helping ensure that important work stays visible, organized, and accountable.
