Bulk Update Goals Using Upload & Download #

The upload/download feature in Propel Your Business allows you to quickly update plan and actual values in bulk using a spreadsheet.

This is the fastest way to manage multiple goals at once.

Step 1: Prepare Your Goals Dashboard #

Before exporting:

• Make sure all goals you want to update are visible
• Use filters if needed
• Clear filters to include everything you need

Step 2: Export Your Data #

1. Click the three dots (top right of Goals dashboard)
2. Choose one:
   • Export to Excel, or
   • Copy to Clipboard (for Google Sheets)

Step 3: Update in Spreadsheet #

Paste into:

• Google Sheets, or
• Excel

Then:

• Update Plan values
• Update Actual values

Step 4: Re-Upload Your Changes #

1. Copy your updated spreadsheet data
2. Return to Propel
3. Click the three dots
4. Select:
   • Paste from Clipboard, or
   • Import from Excel
5. Click Apply Changes

Step 5: Fix Any Errors #

If there’s an issue, Propel will:

• Flag the specific row with the error

Common Errors #

Make sure to remove:

• $ (dollar signs)
• Commas (,)
• Any non-numeric formatting

Cells should contain:

• Plain numbers only (e.g., 10000, not $10,000)
