Keeping Meeting Links Synced Between Your Calendar and Propel #
To ensure your video meeting links remain consistent between your calendar and Propel, there are two recommended approaches.
Option 1: Set a Default Meeting Link #
The easiest way to maintain consistency is to set a default meeting link in your user settings.
Many video conferencing platforms, including:
- Zoom
- Microsoft Teams
- Google Meet
- Other video conferencing platforms
allow you to create a personal meeting room or recurring meeting link that remains the same for every meeting.
Once you have a permanent meeting link:
- Navigate to My Account.
- Open your user settings.
- Set your default meeting link.
Any new meeting series you create can automatically use this default link, ensuring consistency across your meetings.
Option 2: Match an Existing Calendar Meeting Link #
If a meeting already exists in your calendar and you want Propel to use the same meeting link:
- Open your calendar event.
- Copy the existing meeting link.
- Navigate to the appropriate meeting series in Propel.
- Edit the meeting series.
- Paste the meeting link into the Meeting Link field.
- Click Update.
Once saved, the meeting link in Propel will match the meeting link used in your calendar.
Permission Requirements #
Only the owner of a meeting series can edit the meeting link.
If you do not have access to edit the meeting series:
- Contact the meeting series owner.
- Provide them with the correct meeting link.
- Ask them to update the meeting series on your behalf.
Best Practice #
Whenever possible, use a consistent personal meeting room or recurring meeting link for regularly scheduled meetings.
Using a standard meeting link helps:
- Reduce confusion for attendees
- Prevent mismatched meeting invitations
- Keep calendar events and Propel aligned
- Simplify meeting management across recurring cadences
Keeping your meeting links synchronized ensures attendees always have a single, reliable place to join the meeting.
