Setting User Permissions #

User permissions control what individuals can see and do inside Propel Your Business.


Where to Set Permissions #

  1. Go to Company Settings
  2. Click the Users tab
  3. Locate the user
  4. Click the three dotsEdit

What You’ll See #

Inside the user profile, you’ll be asked to configure three key permissions:


Permission Settings Explained #

1. Access to Company Goals #

  • Grants visibility into:
    • Company scorecard
    • Company-level goals

Use for:

  • Leadership team
  • Managers responsible for performance

2. Access to Health & Value #

  • Grants access to:
    • Business health score
    • Enterprise Value (EV) data

Use for:

  • Owners
  • Executives
  • Select leadership only

3. Ability to Create Internal Meetings #

  • Allows the user to:
    • Create and manage their own meetings

Use for:

  • Managers
  • Team leads
  • Anyone running team meetings

Adding a New User (If Needed) #

If the user is not listed:

  1. Click Add User (top right)
  2. Enter:
    • Name
    • Email
    • Role
  3. Set permissions as needed

Best Practice #

Use permissions intentionally:

  • Limit sensitive data (Health & Value) to leadership
  • Expand visibility (Goals) for accountability
  • Enable meetings for anyone managing a team

Quick Framework #

  • Owner / Execs → All permissions ON
  • Managers → Goals + Meetings ON
  • Team Members → Limited, based on role
