Why You Can’t Edit a Goal #
If you’re unable to edit a goal inside Propel Your Business, it’s usually due to permissions—not a system issue.
Root Cause #
You have view-only access to the goal.
In Propel, access is controlled by roles:
- Owner → Full control
- Editor → Can make changes
- Viewer → Can only see the goal
How to Check Your Access #
- Open the goal
- Look at the Access section
- Review:
- Owner
- Editors
- Viewers
Key Indicator #
If you do not see the three dots next to a goal:
You do not have edit permissions.
How to Fix It #
To gain edit access:
- Identify the goal owner (listed in Access)
- Reach out and request:
- Editor access (recommended), or
- Ownership transfer (if appropriate)
What the Owner Needs to Do #
The owner can:
- Click Edit on the goal
- Add you under Editors
- Save changes
