Notifications in Propel #

Inside Propel, the Notification Center helps users stay informed about:

  • assignments
  • mentions
  • updates
  • and activity happening throughout the platform.

The Notifications section can be found in the lower portion of the left-hand navigation bar and is identified by:

  • the bell icon
  • and the label Notifications.

What Notifications Are Used For #

Notifications are generated automatically anytime a user:

  • is assigned something
  • is mentioned inside the software
  • receives updates on collaboration activity
  • or needs visibility into important actions.

This creates a centralized communication and accountability system inside Propel.

Notification Indicators #

When users have unread notifications:

  • a notification count appears next to the bell icon.

This quickly alerts users that:

  • new activity requires their attention.

Viewing Notifications #

Clicking the bell icon opens the Notification Center.

From here, users can:

  • view recent notifications
  • open assigned tasks
  • navigate directly to activity
  • and mark notifications as read.

Notification Filtering Options #

Users can filter notifications by:

  • All Notifications
  • Unread Notifications
  • Mentions
  • Assigned Items

This helps individuals focus specifically on:

  • new work
  • collaboration updates
  • or direct mentions requiring attention.

Marking Notifications as Read #

Users can:

  • mark individual notifications as read
  • or mark all notifications as read at once.

This helps keep the Notification Center organized and manageable.

Notification Dashboard #

Selecting View All opens the full Notification Dashboard.

Inside this dashboard, users can review:

What’s New from Propel #

Announcements and feature updates released by Propel.

These may include:

  • new features
  • product updates
  • best practices
  • or platform enhancements.

Mentions #

This section displays:

  • locations where the user was tagged or mentioned inside the application.

Mentions are commonly generated through:

  • collaboration tools
  • roadmap item discussions
  • and internal communication activity.

Assigned Items #

This section shows:

  • tasks
  • roadmap items
  • or responsibilities assigned to the user.

This helps individuals quickly identify:

  • outstanding work
  • action items
  • and accountability commitments.

Why Notifications Matter #

The Notification Center helps keep communication and execution connected inside Propel.

Rather than relying solely on:

  • email
  • outside messaging tools
  • or separate project management systems

…Propel centralizes operational communication directly alongside:

  • meetings
  • initiatives
  • roadmap items
  • tasks
  • and accountability workflows.

This improves:

  • responsiveness
  • visibility
  • team coordination
  • and execution consistency across the organization.
