Deleting or Archiving Goals and Scorecards #
Goals and scorecards can be archived or deleted when they are no longer needed. The actions available depend on whether you are working with an individual goal or an entire scorecard.
Deleting or Archiving a Goal #
- Navigate to the Goals module.
- Locate the goal you want to remove.
- Click the three-dot menu on the right side of the goal.
- Select Delete or Archive.
Important Notes #
- You must be the Owner or an Editor of the goal to delete or archive it.
- Revenue and Profit goals are fixed company goals and cannot be deleted.
Deleting or Archiving an Entire Scorecard #
To remove an entire scorecard:
- Navigate to the Scorecards dashboard.
- Locate the scorecard you want to remove.
- Click the three-dot menu on the right side.
- Select Edit, Archive, or Delete, depending on the action you want to take.
Deleting or archiving a scorecard removes the entire collection of goals associated with that scorecard.
Removing a Goal from a Scorecard #
If you want to keep the scorecard but remove a single goal:
- Open the scorecard.
- Click Edit Scorecard in the upper-right corner.
- Select the goal you want to remove.
- Remove the goal from the scorecard.
- Click Submit to save your changes.
This removes the goal from the scorecard without deleting the goal itself.
Editing Scorecards During a Meeting #
You can also remove goals from a scorecard while working inside a meeting.
- Open the meeting.
- Navigate to the Scorecards section of the agenda.
- Open the scorecard you want to edit.
- Remove the desired goal.
- Click Submit to save your changes.
Best Practices #
Archive Instead of Delete #
If a goal or scorecard may be needed for future reference or historical reporting, archiving is recommended over deleting.
Delete Only When Appropriate #
Delete goals or scorecards only when they were created in error or are no longer needed. Once deleted, they may not be recoverable.
Remove Instead of Delete #
If a goal should no longer appear on a particular scorecard but is still relevant elsewhere, remove it from the scorecard rather than deleting the goal entirely.
This approach preserves historical data while keeping scorecards focused on the metrics that matter most.
