How to Set Company User Permissions #
Company Admins can manage user permissions in two primary areas of Propel: Company Settings → Users and the Share settings within the Plan module.
Manage User Settings #
Navigate to Company Settings → Users.
Here, you will see all users associated with your company, including both active and inactive users.
To change the settings for an existing user, click the three dots on the right-hand side of their name. You can also add a new user from this page.
For a Company User, you can choose whether to grant permission to create meetings.
This permission is helpful for users who:
- Manage other individuals
- Lead a department or team
- Run team huddles or other recurring meetings
For more information about the differences between Company Admins and Company Users, see the Understanding Company User Permissions video on the Support Desk.
Set Plan Permissions #
Additional permissions are managed within the Plan module.
Navigate to Plan and click Share in the upper-right corner.
Here, you will see the different Plan tabs along with the users in your organization. You can determine the appropriate access level for each user and each area of the Plan.
There are three permission levels:
- Editor — The user can view and edit the information.
- Viewer — The user can view the information but cannot make changes.
- Hidden — The tab is completely hidden from the user.
When a Plan tab is hidden, it will not appear when that user accesses the Plan module.
Default Plan Permissions #
When adding a new Company User, the default Plan permission is Viewer.
You can then adjust the user’s access based on what information they should be able to view or edit.
The Foundation tab is different. Foundation can be set to either Editor or Viewer, but it cannot be hidden. This ensures that everyone in the organization can access the company’s mission, vision, and values.
Review the remaining Plan tabs and determine which areas each user should be able to view, edit, or have hidden based on their role within the organization.
