Updating Your Health Score in Propel #
In Propel, there are two primary ways to update your Health Score.
Option 1: Update Health Scores from the Value Page #
The first option is through the Value tab.
On the Value page:
- health score projections can be adjusted directly within the yearly planning columns
- desired future health targets can be modified
- long-term health assumptions can be refined as planning evolves
If you decide that:
- reaching 100% health is not the goal
…you can click on the desired health target and update it to a more realistic long-term objective.
For example:
- changing the target from 100% to 96.67%
This immediately updates:
- projected health metrics
- and enterprise value calculations.
Option 2: Update Health Scores from the Health Tab #
Most ongoing Health Score updates happen from the Health tab.
Inside the Health tab, you’ll find:
- Health Score Updates
This section organizes the business into:
- categories
- pillars
- or operational areas
Each area contains:
- four Value Driver questions
These questions represent specific operational capabilities within the business.
Updating a Specific Health Score #
To update a score:
- Select the section or pillar you want to update
- Locate the specific Value Driver question
- Click Add Update
- Adjust the score
- Document the operational improvements or work completed
- Click Save
This creates:
- a historical record
- and tracks progress over time.
Tracking Operational Progress #
Each Health Score update can include notes describing:
- systems implemented
- operational improvements
- leadership changes
- process documentation
- accountability improvements
- or other work completed inside the business
This creates a running operational history tied directly to business health.
Using the Change Log #
The Change Log allows users to:
- review historical updates
- track score improvements over time
- and monitor progress by business area
Users can filter:
- all updates
- or specific operational pillars.
Visual Health Score Tracking #
As updates are made:
- the Health graph updates automatically
- percentages increase
- and the business health trajectory changes visually over time
This provides a measurable way to track:
- operational maturity
- organizational improvement
- and execution progress.
Impact on Enterprise Value #
Each increase in Health Score affects:
- the estimated current enterprise value
As the operational health of the business improves:
- enterprise value projections improve as well
This reinforces one of Propel’s core concepts:
improving operational health can directly improve business value.
