Co-Branding Firm Platform

3 min read

Firm Branding & Co-Branding Setup #

Propel allows firms to customize and co-brand key areas of the platform to create a more personalized experience for both firm users and client companies.

To access branding settings:

Settings → Firm

Understanding Co-Branding #

Propel supports co-branding across several areas of the platform.

We use the term co-branding rather than full white labeling because certain platform components remain branded as Propel.

For example:

  • The Support Desk remains Propel-branded.
  • Some system-generated content may continue to reference Propel.
  • Core platform functionality and support resources cannot be fully white-labeled.

However, firms can customize the most visible client-facing areas of the platform.

Firm Name #

The first step is to enter your firm’s name.

Navigate to the Firm Settings page and enter the organization name exactly as you want clients and users to see it throughout the platform.

This name will appear in various locations across the software and on client-facing experiences.

Firm Login URL #

Within Firm Settings, you can also copy your firm’s login URL.

This URL can be shared with:

  • Team members
  • Advisors
  • Client companies
  • New users during onboarding

Using the firm-specific login link helps direct users to the correct branded experience.

Uploading Logos #

Propel supports multiple logo types throughout the platform.

Each logo section includes recommended sizing guidelines and identifies where that logo appears within the software.

Typical branding assets include:

  • Primary logo
  • Navigation logo
  • Login logo
  • Assessment and reporting logos
  • Additional platform branding assets

Best Practices #

After uploading each logo:

  1. Save your changes.
  2. Navigate to the area where the logo is displayed.
  3. Verify image quality and clarity.
  4. Confirm proper sizing and alignment.
  5. Ensure the logo appears professional on both light and dark backgrounds.

Taking time to review each placement helps ensure a polished experience for users.

Customizing the Login Experience #

The login page can also be branded with a custom cover image.

This image appears on the login screen and serves as the first visual experience users see when accessing the platform.

To customize the login page:

  1. Upload a cover image within Firm Settings.
  2. Save your changes.
  3. Preview the login page.
  4. Confirm the image displays correctly across different screen sizes.

Login Image Recommendations #

Choose an image that:

  • Represents your brand
  • Is high resolution
  • Works well on large screens
  • Contains minimal text
  • Maintains visual clarity when cropped

A strong login image helps create a more professional and customized user experience.

Testing Your Branding #

After configuring your branding settings, we recommend reviewing the platform from the perspective of a user.

Check:

✓ Firm name displays correctly

✓ Logos appear as expected

✓ Login image displays properly

✓ Navigation branding is clear

✓ Client-facing experiences match your brand standards

✓ Assessment reports (if applicable) display the correct branding

Impact on Users #

Once branding has been configured, all users associated with your firm will see the updated experience when accessing the platform.

This includes:

  • Firm users
  • Advisors
  • Client company users
  • New users added in the future

The branded login page and firm branding elements will automatically appear throughout the platform where supported.

Need Help? #
